Partnership — selling through an established account and warehouse

No company needed: you own the product side, I own imports, warehousing, sales and customers. I earn a share of profit, so we run the numbers together first.

Option 3. Partnership

We enter the market together and no company is needed

My account, my warehouse, my operations · a share of the profit

You handle the product. Everything else is on me: importing, customs clearance, the warehouse, the listings, sales, talking to buyers, dispatch and returns.

This is not a client-and-contractor deal. I only earn when you earn. A contractor does not care whether the goods sold or are sitting on a shelf — they got paid and moved on. That is not an option for me: if your stock stalls, I stall with you.

What is good about it
  • The fastest possible start: no company, no paperwork, nothing spent on structure.
  • No warehouse hunting: it is mine, it is in the city, and I live where your stock sits.
  • From day one you trade through an account that already has reputation. On Mercado Libre trust in the account feeds straight into sales, and a newcomer spends months building it, often selling at a loss at first.
  • You have someone on the ground who cares about the result as much as you do.
What you should know
  • Precisely because I take a share, I do not take every product or every person. First we run the numbers together, and if they do not add up I say so straight.
  • If sales take off and you want your own setup, we move to the first option, this time with experience and data behind you. The partnership is not a dead end — it is the fastest route to your own business.

Frequently asked questions

Can you sell on Mercado Libre from abroad without relocating?

Yes. Three models work: incorporate remotely using a power of attorney, rent my trading company, or work as partners through my account and warehouse. None of the three requires you to fly over.

Which pays off better, your own company or a partnership?

At the start, almost always the partnership: you spend nothing on structure and find out whether the product sells at all. Once the numbers add up, your own company pays off better, because importing through your own entity recovers customs taxes, and that is roughly a one-and-a-half-times difference in unit cost.

Tell me about your case

Answer three questions and I will suggest the model that suits you, and help you weigh the prospects before you spend anything.

Which country?

Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Uruguay — or undecided so far.

Which product?

The category and rough volume. If you already sell it in your home market, all the better — we will have something to compare against.

Where do you ship from?

From China, or you plan to work with local suppliers on the ground.
