Which AI tools we use for Mercado Libre

We do not need jargon, we need to sell product. Below are the tools that save time and replace whole departments.

Photos, copy, content

ChatGPT and Gemini. Our two workhorses. Both are good at images and at text. We run them every day.

Copy and translation. They take apart competitors, come up with selling titles and write a decent listing description.

Photo generation. Take an ordinary phone photo of the product, on the floor or on a table. Upload it and the model paints in the interior and the lighting. It will also draw any images and icons you need for infographics.

Working with spreadsheets. Photograph your handwritten scribbles, drop them into the chat, get a tidy Excel table.

A small photo trick. Inside Gemini runs a strong image model, Nano Banana 2. If you need many shots at once rather than one at a time in chat, use Google Flow. That is a proper production line.

Reconnaissance. Perplexity

It is like Google, only decent. Google hands you a pile of links you have to crawl through yourself. Perplexity reads them itself and gives you one finished answer with links to the sources.

An example. You ask what the import taxes on this product into Argentina are. You get a clear list with the numbers.

Programmer and analyst. Claude

The one who writes the code and looks at the screen with you.

It codes without programmers. It builds complex spreadsheets, and our unit economics was put together with it. It sets up API integrations, writes scripts and builds sites. You do not need to code yourself, you explain the task in ordinary words.

It takes apart other people’s listings. It has a Google Chrome extension that sees your tab, so no screenshots needed. You open a competitor’s listing, open the extension and get a point-by-point breakdown: what they did well, where they messed up, how to make your own listing better.

One important catch. Do not reach for Claude for every task, it burns through tokens quickly and hits limits. Chatting, brainstorming or writing the brief for Claude itself is cheaper in ChatGPT or Gemini. Treat it like a strong programmer: give it a precise brief and you get the result.

Where we work

The browsers Chrome, Comet and Atlas. All of them are built on Google Chrome, so they are alike. If you are used to Chrome, there is nothing to relearn. An AI agent inside the browser works as a personal assistant.

Plain Chrome. It carries the whole workload once you add the Claude extension. Google’s built-in page translation works normally, and translating from Spanish is the baseline in Argentina.

Comet, the agent from Perplexity. A good alternative. All the models you need at hand, and the auto-translate is there too.

Atlas, the agent from ChatGPT. If you have paid ChatGPT Plus, Atlas has an agent that does everything in one window. It is fast. But Google’s page auto-translate does not work there, so you are on your own with Spanish.

In short

This stack replaces a whole department for us. While others look for a photographer, a translator and a programmer on top, we set up the AI and get on with the money.
